The European Parliament voted overwhelmingly in favor of a resolution stating that EU accession talks with Georgia should not begin until the proposed law on foreign agents is part of Georgia's legal order.

The European Parliament has voted in favor of a resolution calling on the EU not to start membership negotiations with Georgia while the scandalous law on transparency of foreign influence is in force. This was stated on his page in X by Radio Liberty's Europe editor Rikard Jozwiak, UNN reports .

According to the journalist, the document was supported by an overwhelming majority - 452 votes in favor. 

The European Parliament voted overwhelmingly (425 in favor, 25 against, 30 abstentions) in favor of a non-binding resolution that EU accession talks should not begin as long as the proposed law on foreign agents is part of Georgia's legal order
