The NABU has put Oleh Hladkovskyi, former First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, on the wanted list for allegedly organizing the purchase of off-road vehicles for the army at inflated prices, which caused the state losses of more than UAH 17 million.

The NABU has put Oleh Hladkovsky, an expert deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, on the wanted list, accused of abuses in the purchase of cars for the army. UNN reports with reference to NABU.

NABU is looking for former First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council accused of abuses in procurement of cars for the army

It is reported that he, together with the former Deputy Minister of Defense and the director of a department of the Ministry of Defense, is accused of organizing the purchase of off-road trucks at illegally increased prices as part of a state defense order.

The amount of damage caused to the state is over UAH 17 million.

Thus, on October 19, 2019, the HACC arrested the former First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council with an alternative of UAH 10.6 million bail.

On October 21, 2019, he was released on bail and was released from the pre-trial detention center.

In March 2022, the court revoked the bail in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and changed the measure of restraint to a personal commitment. After that, the defendant stopped appearing at court hearings, and according to the NABU and the SAPO, he went abroad. Consequently, he was put on the wanted list.

The SAPO informs that on April 16, 2024, the HACCU panel of judges granted the SAPO prosecutor's motion to put former First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleh Hladkovskyi on the wanted list.

"The court took into account the absence of the accused from court hearings and the availability of confirmed information about the person's stay abroad and granted the motion," the SAPO informs.
