Today, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz met to discuss the issue of aid to Ukraine.
We are Europe's two largest providers of military support to Ukraine. Together we are committed to continuing our unwavering support for Ukraine for as long as it takes to help Ukraine defend itself
Rishi Sunak and Olaf Scholz also stated that their support is long-term and based on Ukraine's immediate and long-term security and resilience needs. They also called for a discussion to harmonize the level of military support to Ukraine among Allies and partners in terms of appropriate economic power.
Our immediate support is focused on air defense, drones, artillery, ammunition, fortifications and training. Today, we agreed to coordinate and intensify our efforts and assess the potential for joint projects, including relevant training. It is noted that the United Kingdom and Germany will work together to maximize the impact of the Immediate Action on Air Defense initiative and the International Fund for Ukraine.
