In Zhytomyr, a man who was sleeping in a garbage container was hit by a special press while unloading waste into the back of a garbage truck. The man died from his injuries, UNN reports, citing the Zhytomyr regional police.

According to law enforcement officials, the report of the discovery of a man's body without signs of life was received around 18:20. Preliminarily, it happened after loading garbage from a container into a special vehicle.
The doctors who also arrived at the scene pronounced the man dead. Law enforcement officers identified the deceased. He was a 46-year-old resident of the city.
"According to witnesses, the man abused alcohol in his lifetime and was seen sleeping in a container pretending to be garbage shortly before the incident. Previously, while unloading the waste into the back of a garbage truck, the man was hit by a special press. According to the experts, the cause of his death was blunt force trauma with compression of internal organs," the police said.

Currently, investigators of the Zhytomyr District Police Department are establishing all the circumstances of the incident within the framework of the criminal proceedings. Preliminary classification of the crime is Part 1 Art. 119 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine
Under the current legislation, such an act is punishable by restriction of liberty for a term of 3 to 5 years or imprisonment for the same term.
