Budapest may block the EU's decision to send Ukraine 1.5 billion euros in aid if Kyiv does not stop discriminating against Hungarian companies. This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, Index.hu reports, according to UNN .

Siyarto said that after the OTP bank case, Ukraine allegedly took on the pharmaceutical company Richter and wants to revoke local licenses to distribute dozens of drugs.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister himself called this policy a "witch hunt.
According to him, today society is "preparing for a world war" because of the critical situation on the battlefield in Ukraine.
Szijjártó warned that Hungary could block the EU's decision to provide member states with 1.5 billion euros from the European Peace Fund to supply weapons to Ukraine.
In addition, Hungary will not agree to unblock the 500 million euro tranche under the European Peace Framework program.
Hungary's position remains unchanged and clear. Until we receive guarantees from the Ukrainian side that they will stop the witch hunt against Hungarian companies operating in Ukraine, we will not be able to facilitate such decisions (allocation of aid to Ukraine - ed.)
Szijjarto called discrimination against Hungarian companies unacceptable, citing unreasonable procedures and fabricated reasons.

Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis said that the European Commission plans to allocate 1.5 billion euros to Ukraine in April and is expected to provide another 1.9 billion euros in May, subject to certain conditions, as part of a 50-billion euro program for Ukraine.
