NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has announced that more defense equipment and ammunition for Ukraine is on the way. He made this statement following a meeting with G7 foreign ministers and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, UNN reports.

Arriving on April 18 at the G7 foreign ministers' meeting in Capri, the NATO Secretary General emphasized the importance of strengthening support for Ukraine.
"We now have encouraging signs from the US Congress that in the coming days they will vote on a package of measures for Ukraine," Stoltenberg said, welcoming the commitment and determination of NATO Allies to stand with Ukraine.
According to NATO, in recent weeks, Allies have stepped up their support, in particular through the Czech-led ammunition initiative; increased military support from the Netherlands; a new aid package from Denmark; and Germany's decision to send Ukraine an additional Patriot system.
"Ninety-nine percent of Ukraine's military support comes from NATO Allies, and it is crucial that NATO Allies maintain and increase their support," the Secretary General said.
Stoltenberg said that "NATO plans to work towards a greater role in coordinating security assistance and training for Ukraine, and stressed the importance of providing sustainable and predictable financial support.
On Friday, the Secretary General will chair a virtual meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of defense ministers, the Alliance said.
