At one of its next meetings, the Verkhovna Rada plans to consider renaming 7 districts and 15 cities. This was reported by UNN with reference to the draft agenda of the Verkhovna Rada meeting and the draft resolution No. 11188.

According to the draft resolution, the Verkhovna Rada plans to rename 7 districts, 15 cities, 54 towns, and 267 villages.
In particular, in Dnipropetrovska oblast, it is planned to rename the city of Novomoskovsk to Samar, Pavlohrad to Matviyiv, the city of Synelnykove to Ridnopillia, and Pershotravensk to Shakhtarske.
Also in Luhansk region, the city of Pervomaisk is to be renamed Sokologorsk, Molodohvardiysk is to be renamed Otamanivka, and Severodonetsk is to be renamed Siverskodonetsk.
In the Lviv region, it is planned to rename the city of Chervonohrad to Sheptytsky.
In the Mykolaiv region, it is planned to rename the city of Yuzhnoukrainsk to Gard, and the city of Pervomaisk to Olviopol.
In Odesa region, it is planned to rename the city of Yuzhne to Port Annental.
In Sumy region, it is planned to rename the town of Druzhba to Khutir-Mykhailivskyi.
In Kharkiv region, MPs propose to rename the city of Krasnohrad to Berestyn and the town of Pervomaisky to Zlatopil.
It is also planned to rename the town of Vatutino in Cherkasy region to the city of Bahacheve.
