The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is concerned about the deterioration of the internal political situation in Georgia in connection with the consideration of the draft law "On Transparency of Foreign Influence" in the Georgian Parliament.

The ministry emphasizes that respect for the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as the involvement of civil society in addressing socially important issues, are necessary conditions for building the country's European future.
Kyiv also responded to the Georgian prime minister's accusations that the law should protect the country from possible "Ukrainization.

The country's Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said that the law on "foreign agents" aims to protect Georgia from "Ukrainization", strengthen sovereignty and ensure the country's stable development.
