The opposition speaker, poet and translator Rati Amglobeli, delivered an ultimatum to the ruling party during his speech at the rally.

"Let the law be withdrawn today. We are waiting for an hour. "Georgian Dream should make a political statement that it sees the will of the Georgian people," said Rati Amglobeli.

The speakers did not say what would happen if the Georgian Dream party did not withdraw the bill.

According to Paper Kartuli, about 15 thousand people gathered near the Georgian parliament. There is no police cordon on April 9 and Zakaria Chichinadze streets.

Special forces and police officers are on duty near Freedom Square.
