A. Tolstoukhov: It is impossible to convict Kuchma without Yuriy Kravchenko
The pre-trial investigation into the case against Leonid Kuchma is over, - so says Valentina Telychenko, media lawyer of Miroslava Gongadze. Despite numerous and verious versions, the whole investigation process took only a bit more than a month. What comes next?! The opinions of experts divided. In general, mistrust towards the motives of criminal proceedings instituted dominates in the society. Although it must be plainly confessed that the interest both to the fate of Kuchma and to the Gongadze case generally fell. And this almost May Easter and the incoming of the Ukrainian spring significantly reduced tension in the society around this case. All the more timely is the information on the completion of the pre-trial investigation. To find out how likely is the arrest of L. Kuchma, in opinion of the pro-government team, UNN met with former repeat Cabinet Minister, Ph.D., Honorary President of the Foundation for the Arts Promotion Anatoliy Tolstoukhov, who after losing his post became Advisor to the Chairman of the Cabinet. In addition to the case of Kuchma, we touched on the topics, of course, of the FTA and reformation of the country.
- Anatoliy Volodymyrovych, after losing the post of Cabinet Minister, you have disappeared from the political orbit for some time. What are you currently engaged in? - Just as I was engaged in other projects and activities, so I continue to be. It is difficult to say why I pay more attention to this or that on a specific day. I do not make such calculations. I am just disposed to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously and succeed in their combining. In addition, I deal with issues of public service. I continue to perform functions and commissions, keep on writing, go on creating.
- What is in the focus of your attention now?
- I have recently completed my three-year work which is called "Many faces of democracy" - the philosophical analysis of the problems of democracy. I keep writing songs. Together with like-minded people we actually started work on a new ballet, it will take three years.
In addition, I am preparing a new concept of television programs related to coverage of government, interaction between the authorities and civil society. Well, I am engaged in the party activities, of course. Here is an inexhaustive list of activities I focus on.
- You have been in the power since the early 90's when you first became Deputy Minister on Regional Issues, and then - Cabinet Minister... During this time you discerned the reason for the permanent depression of the Ukrainian society in which it is now?
- The reason is that the Ukrainian society still has not experienced, speaking the philosophical language, what is the act of unity of being and beginning of holistic development. And since we are between the history and future in such an uptight condition, we will feel it constantly, because the world is in an entirely different condition.
I would answer this way: "It is for the 20th summer already that we have been looking for ourselves and our way - the foundation from the world`s empires and yet not a European roof". It is unclear what walls will be built, what lay-out, what atmosphere will be created, because one wants one thing and the other wants another thing. Only by building this house together, we may seriously talk about the future. As for the prospects, these are changes. These are popular and unpopular reforms. And as a whole, all of this should build a complete picture and plan of modernization of the country. As for the modernization of this country, it should be implemented not by the authority alone or individuals. But only by the civil society and the State, and the farther in, the deeper - by the personality, because it will become a key figure, the main subject of future events in the world.
- Is it worth to pay attention to the loss by another government team of credibility in the eyes of citizens? Is it natural for the Ukrainian society at its present stage of development?
- It has never been normal and never will be. One cannot build Ukraine for people without sustaining it with a growing confidence and participation of people in this process. If it is not confirmed by figures, attitudes, facts - that means we manipulate public consciousness.
- Of course. What do you think, how we should solve the geopolitical dilemma: 3 +1 - this is real or we still have to choose between the Free Trade Area (FTA) and the Customs Union?
- You know, since my first convocation at the Verkhovna Rada I repeatedly encounter such a situation... We argued then and we argue now. We argue on the basis of other`s visits to Ukraine, their suggestions and proposals about a required political landscape. We just need, as it is the case of normal interstate business or - if you wish - inter-civilization one - learn to count. Put a business plan from which it will be clear - it is more advantageous to go there and what we might lose by doing so, and whether it will be necessary to connect it tomorrow and interconnect. That's when we'll have the answer to this question. And for that, clearly, we should raise public awareness, give people more information rather than engage them in the discussion process, which is the tool of policy-makers: "You may talk - anyway it be the way you expect or do not expect."
- The last question relates to the matter of Kuchma, whose team you also were indirectly involved in. Any point in this matter will be finally made?
- I think after what is going on now, a point will be made. Again, someone will look at it like at a ball, someone will write after it the name of Kuchma with a small letter, but the point will be surely made and it will be a kind of criterium for others, one will not have to try to imagine that someone in this country hovers over law.
The law must be one for all. Leonid Kuchma - I want to recall as the year of 2004 has just been recalled here - he used to take the floor then and voice the expression: "Anti-coup is being performed in Ukraine". A simple question arises sometimes: if it was being performed, why no one fought against it? Time passes and there comes a time when one must be accountable for his or her actions. But courts differ. In this case these are the investigation and the court of judicial institutions. And the court of history also exists. And then there is the Court of God as well. And we will have to appear before all the courts, one way or another.
- Is Leonid Danylovych likely to be condemned?
- I think that this will not happen. For one simple reason - it is not possible without Yuriy Fedorovych Kravchenko. Everything else are the tapes, speculation, desire. Any of us can say anything in the kitchen or under the couch. What were the consequences of publication of the conversations about ambassadors, high and low officials around the world - what happened? Well, somewhere some ambassadors`accreditations were withdrawn...

Зляканий"...Вигода від вступу до Митного союзу не настільки велика, щоб жертвувати СОТ і майбутнім асоційованим членством в ЄС.
Росія навіть при великому бажанні не зможе реалізувати частину загроз. Зокрема, їй не вдасться побудувати у себе виробництва, аналогічні українським....У них той же бардак, що і у нас. Людей нема, виробничі цикли розвалилися, організувати їх просто за бажанням не вийде. На словах воно виглядає серйозно, а в реальності хай спробують...\\\\\\\".
Україна не піде до Митного союзу з Росією. Зрозумівши це остаточно, уряд РФ попередив, що як покарання влаштує Україні труднощі одразу за кількома напрямками:
Україна втратить на великих спільних проектах, що вимагають великих інвестицій і участі підприємств двох країн - атомній енергетиці, літакобудуванні, космічних проектах та сільському господарстві;
постраждають напрямки, у рамках яких російські і українські підприємства уже працюють разом - це виробництво військово -технічної продукції;
третій "жах", який очікує Україну, - це протекціонізм з боку Росії, відкривши ринок в рамках зони вільної торгівлі з ЄС, Україна повною мірою відчує всі наслідки низької конкурентоспроможності своїх товарів, у підсумку, національні вироби стануть переміщатися на ринки країн СНД, і перш за все - на російський і тоді Росія та її торгівельні партнери з Митного союзу змушені будуть захищатися.
«В Україні суспільство загалом деградує. Після поразки Помаранчевої революції цей процес набрав особливої стрімкості. Здобуття влади Януковичем та його людьми, що формалізувало цю поразку, в суспільстві зі стійкими моральними цінностями було би просто неможливе. Таке трапляється лише там, де вважають правильним нікому не вірити, не мати ідеалів, де сильніший обов’язково має розтоптати слабшого, а товстіший – відібрати останнє у худішого».
«Якесь моральне одужання (бодай часткове – про цілковите вже не йдеться) може настати лише внаслідок потужної соціальної революції, не декоративно-кольорової, а реальної. Проте насьогодні ми, здається, ще досить далекі від неї. Як кажуть у таких випадках, «влада сильна як ніколи». До Януковича та його системи потрохи звикають і починають пристосовуватися. Це найгірший з варіантів розвитку».
«Маю надію, що все ж несуттєво. Хоч, можливо, маючи надію, я зовсім не маю рації. Мені важко уявити собі, що діється в сучасних театральних чи філармонійних колективах. Напевно, нічого доброго там не діється. А в бібліотеках? З них вилучають деякі книжки, в тому числі й мої. А в кіно, на радіо й телебаченні? Наші діячі мистецтва знову повертаються до сервільності, пишуть якісь подячні листи президентові, підлещуються до Ганни Герман. Усе це сумно, але й карикатурно».
Никак не мог сообразить, кому было выгодно, чтобы Кравченко стрелялся два раза. Слова богу, подсказал Толстозадов.
Кучму нужно осудить вместе с его секретариатом и начальником этого секретариата Литвиным. Остались живыми замы Кравченко, курирующие "наружку", без них ниодно указание Кравченко не выполнялось. Вспомните хорошо как эти замы удивлялись и говорили: "А кто это такой Гонгадзе ?! Впервые слышу".
Нежурналист Гонгадзе получил Героя украины как журналист без всяких документов. Во,дела....
Беженец Гонгадзе поиздевался над Кучмой и за это получил Героя Украины. Во дела.Неужели всем, кто будет издеваться над Президентом будут давать Героя Украины?
Хитро. Гонгадзе как режисер снимал кино как он издевается над Кучмой, и все считают его журналистом. За деньги.??????
Хорошая легенда получилась о живом гражданине Грузии Гнгадзе, но посмертно Герое Украины по поддельным документам. Все журналисты в Украине члены Национального союза журналистов. А Гонгадзе членом этого Союза небыл. Выходит засланный казачек для работы с изменником Родины Мельниченком?
Нав пленках нет голоса Кучмы, где он отдавал бы команду по Гонгадзе.Притом, что Гонгалдзесостоит на воинском учете в Грузии. Главнокомандующий Кучма до военнослужащих Грузии не имеет никакого отношения.
Но гражданина Грузии Гонгадзе-можно еще и найти, подав его в международный розыск. А адресок можно найти в наградных материалах.
