Speaker will visit Azerbaijan at the beginning of 2012

Bilateral Ukrainian-Azerbaijani cooperation is developing actively, in the spirit of strategic partnership, which showed the visit of President of Ukraine to Azerbaijan this year. The head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Lytvyn today in St. Petersburg during a meeting with Chairman of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Oktay Asadov reported UNN according to the press service of Verkhovna Rada. 

He recalled that during the visit were signed Joint Statement of Presidents of the two countries on further development of strategic partnership and comprehensive cooperation Action Plan for 2011-2015

Speaker expressed his belief that the parliaments of our countries make efforts to intensify interparliamentary cooperation, the development of "public diplomacy".

The development of bilateral parliamentary relations, according to Volodymyr Lytvyn, is an effective political lever to further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries. He also said he accepted an invitation to visit Azerbaijan in early 2012.
