M. Tsymbalyuk: the government did its best to avoid provocations on May 9

Lviv Regional State Administration Chairman Michael Tsymbalyuk one broadcast on Ukrainian television said that the celebration of Victory Day, "the province was all in order to avoid provocations," said UNN .

"We met with the heads of all veteran organizations in our region, where the discussion was made the only decision to celebrate Victory Day on May 9 - when the state flag. And there were representatives of local authorities, governments and heads of all law enforcement area. That is the province was all in order to avoid provocations, "- he said.

In clarifying questions leading as he commends the police on May 9 in Lviv, M. Tsymbalyuk replied:

"I have the head of state administration and have no right to interfere in the actions of law enforcement. Because now working committee, established by the President, who will answer all the questions: who provoked who is the provocateur - or a certain political party or individuals and they necessarily "sure to suffer legal punishment."

On another question whether he has information about the conclusions of the investigating commission, M. Tsymbalyuk said:

"As I informed: already initiated five criminal charges and vandalism, and group violations of law."

He also explained why the police were lined up near the Mars Field on May 9.

"I want to say that there were a decision of the District Administrative Court prohibiting the holding of mass events, in addition to the official. Because law enforcement officials acting within their competence, following the court's decision" - summed up the governor.
