Louisiana began an operation to prevent flooding

In the U.S. state of Louisiana military given the flood gates opened on the Mississippi River. It is reported by Radio Liberty.

So authorities are trying to relieve pressure on levees that protect the city of Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Experts agree that have to evacuate about 25 thousand people.

Strongest for the last 70 year flood in the central part of the USA is the result of torrential rains and melting snow.
