russia will try to re-launch the spacecraft that will deliver russian cosmonaut oleg novitsky, belarusian marina vasilevskaya and American Tracy Dyson to the International Space Station.

On Saturday, March 23, russia will attempt to launch its Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft for the second time, which was aborted the day before. UNN writes about this with reference to the russian media.

Details

It is reported that after clarifying the causes of the emergency, which interrupted the rocket launch procedure, it was decided to re-launch. It will take place on March 23. It is planned that in two days, that is, on March 25, the ship should reach the International Space Station. Three people will be on board: russian cosmonaut oleg novitsky, belarusian marina vasilevskaya, and American Tracy Dyson.

On April 6, oleg novitsky, marina vasilevskaya, and Loral O'Hara are due to return to Earth on the Soyuz MS-24 spacecraft.

Recall

On March 21, the rocket was supposed to launch from the baikonur cosmodrome, but 20 seconds before the launch the flight was canceled.

According to the BBC, the International Space Station is one of the few joint projects between the United States and russia. After russia's invasion of Ukraine and the sanctions imposed because of it, cooperation between the two countries virtually ceased. However, in the summer of 2022, NASA and the russian space agency roskosmos agreed to continue the cross-flight program, which means sending astronauts and cosmonauts to the ISS on spacecraft from both countries.
