U.S. President Joe Biden has called the collapse of the Baltimore bridge a "terrible accident," promising to do everything possible to ensure that one of the most important ports on the U.S. East Coast returns to normal as soon as possible. This was reported by NBC News, according to UNN .

Biden promised that the bridge would be rebuilt as quickly as possible, but acknowledged that it would "take some time." He said he would devote "all necessary federal resources" to the recovery effort.
Biden also said that the federal government would pay all the costs of rebuilding one of the country's busiest bridges.
I intend to make sure that the federal government pays for the entire cost of reconstructing this bridge, and I expect Congress to support my efforts

On Tuesday night, the four-lane Francis Scott Key Road Bridge over the Patapsco River collapsed after a cargo ship crashed into its abutment. After the collision, the vessel caught fire and sank. The Baltimore Fire Department said that seven construction workers were working on the crossing at the time of the incident. Two of them were pulled out of the water by rescuers, the rest are missing. Maryland Governor Wes Moore declared a state of emergency in the region.
