There were 66 banknotes and 179 banknotes and coins in circulation for every resident of Ukraine, which is slightly more than as of January 1, 2024, when there were 66 banknotes and 177 coins.
The most common banknotes in cash circulation are the 500-hryvnia and 10-kopiika coins, which account for 28.3% and 28.1% of the total. The least common banknotes are the 50-hryvnia and 10-hryvnia coins, which account for 4.6% and 1.5% of the total.
In the first quarter of 2024, the number of 1,000-hryvnia banknotes and 10-hryvnia coins grew the most, each by almost 10%.
