Despite his promises, Poroshenko has not given money for the Shukhevych Museum destroyed by Russia, the Lviv City Council reports.
The Lviv City Council did not receive any funds for the restoration of the museum of UPA General Roman Shukhevych from the Petro Poroshenko Foundation, despite his public promises to finance all the necessary work. This became known from the response to the information request of the Ukrainian News, UNN reports.
"Regarding the amounts Petro Poroshenko promised to transfer for the restoration of the museum, the mayor's office is only aware of the data that was voiced in an open letter to Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi, which was distributed in the public space by the Poroshenko Charitable Foundation. However, it should be noted that the Lviv City Council did not receive any funds from the Poroshenko Charitable Foundation for the restoration of the museum of the UPA General Roman Shukhevych," reads the response of the Department of Culture of the Lviv City Council to the request of Ukrainian News.
As previously reported, on January 1 of this year, two Russian "shaheds" destroyed the museum-hideout where Roman Shukhevych, the UPA general and battalion commander , fought his last battle on March 5, 1950. Petro Poroshenko has repeatedly promised that his foundation will finance all the necessary work to rebuild the museum. The EU leader never fulfilled his promise.
As previously reported, according to the NACP, Petro Poroshenko declared UAH 1 billion 440 million in income in 2023. This, together with the income of 2022, is almost 20 times more than all the MP's income for the pre-war year of 2021. Also, last year, the EU leader withdrew more than $18 million from Ukraine through the purchase of securities abroad.
