The actor was reportedly detained on Monday morning and taken to a police station in Paris. 

He is being interrogated in connection with allegations of sexual abuse. 

Gerard Depardieu has been accused of sexual assault by two women.  They claim that he touched them during two filming sessions: In 2014 on the set of Jean-Pierre Mauka's The Magician and the Siamese Twins and in 2021 on the set of Jean Becker's The Green Shutters. 

Gerard Depardieu denies all accusations against him.
