According to the newspaper, during a speech in the Georgian parliament , Gomelauri said that during the three days of rallies in Tbilisi, 40 people were detained for administrative offenses. Five police officers were injured, two of them were taken to hospitals.
The minister cited these figures in response to a question about police violence against demonstrators and journalists.
