Ukraine has received EUR 1.5 billion from the EU under the Ukraine program, which will be used to finance the budget deficit. In total, by the end of the year, subject to fulfillment of obligations, the total amount of EU assistance will reach EUR 16 billion.
Ukraine has received the second tranche from the EU under the Ukraine Facility in the amount of EUR 1.5 billion. The funds will be used to finance the budget deficit. This was announced by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergiy Marchenko, a correspondent of UNN reports.
Ukraine Facility funds will be used to finance the budget deficit. First and foremost, the most important social and unitary issues will be addressed: payment of pensions, salaries of teachers, doctors and all issues related to social protection of citizens
According to him, Ukraine expects another tranche in May and emphasized that the receipt of these funds depends on the fulfillment of Ukraine's obligations.
The total amount of funds we expect from the EU by the end of the year is EUR 16 billion. The next 10 billion will depend on how we fulfill our obligations
