According to preliminary information, the explosion occurred in the Baltic Sea in a 10-mile zone, not far from the coast of the Kaliningrad region.
Around 11 a.m., the ship sent a distress call.
There were 7 crew members on board the trawler, four were injured. According to the sources of the Baza Telegram channel, at least one person was killed. The cause of the explosion is unknown.
According to Baza, this is not the first time the Captain Lobanov has drowned - in 2021, the fishing vessel fell over on its side while launching, and then partially sank. No one was injured then.
