A Russian missile strike completely destroyed the Trypillia thermal power plant in Kyiv region during a massive missile attack on the night of April 11.

"As a result of the morning attack by the Russian Federation, Trypillia TPP in Kyiv region was completely destroyed," the press service of Centrenergo reported.

A large-scale fire broke out in the company's turbine shop, and firefighting efforts are underway. No employees were injured.

Trypillia TPP is the most powerful power plant in the Kyiv region. Kyiv region is one of the most energy-saturated areas. It has power generating facilities with a total capacity of 3,200 MW, of which the installed capacity of Trypillia TPP is about 57%. The power generating company is the largest supplier of electricity to Kyiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions. The company covers an area of 281.3 hectares.
