Ukraine has invested more than UAH 500 million in the businesses of Ukrainian entrepreneurs who have won the Vlasna Dala microgrant program, with more than 50% of the winners of the fifth wave being women.

As indicated, 521 Ukrainians have been recognized as winners of the fifth wave of the "Own Business" grant program, receiving UAH 124 million from the state to start or expand their businesses. Since the beginning of this year, more than 2,000 entrepreneurs have become winners of the program, where the state is investing more than half a billion hryvnias in their businesses. In total, more than 15,000 Ukrainians have received grant support since the program began.
"Since the beginning of this year, we have more than 2,000 winners of the "Own Business" program who will receive microgrants from the state to start or develop their businesses worth half a billion hryvnias. Almost 20% of them will start new companies, while others will increase production volumes and expand the range of products and services. At the same time, these entrepreneurs will create 4,400 new jobs in all regions of our country. Since the start of the program, more than 15,000 Ukrainians have received grant support worth UAH 3.5 billion. They have already returned more than UAH 1 billion to the state in the form of taxes and fees paid to the budget," said Tetiana Berezhna.
According to the Ministry of Economy, 57% of the recipients of the fifth wave of microgrants are women, 33% are men, and 10% are legal entities. Of the recipients, 73% have higher education. Most grants were received in Lviv region (56 people), Vinnytsia region (42 people), Kyiv region (40 people), Ivano-Frankivsk region (38 people), and the city of Kyiv (42 people). Most microgrant recipients plan to use the funds to purchase necessary equipment for their businesses.
The most popular areas in which the winners of the fifth wave will work are:
- wholesale and retail trade, vehicle repair - 185 people;
- temporary accommodation and catering - 84 people;
- processing industry - 61 people.
