Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the MHP-Hromada Charitable Foundation has allocated more than UAH 70 million to support cultural projects. All projects are about values, meanings, patriotism, and unification. This was stated by Tetiana Volochai, director of the MHP-Hromada Charitable Foundation, during a panel discussion at the Creative Ukraine International Forum, UNN reports.

"MHP-Hromada has extensive experience in supporting cultural initiatives, Volochai says. These include support for museums, publishing books, implementing the unique Cinema for Victory project, organizing exhibitions and charity concerts by the Kozak System band in remote communities and hospitals.
When supporting cultural projects, the foundation is guided by a number of criteria:
Thus, MHP-Hromada implements projects of cultural, artistic and educational value.
"For example, Culture vs War is a documentary project about artists who took up arms. It is shown in the European Parliament, UNESCO, and at meetings of diplomats. It has a clear message: to continue reminding the world about the great war at a time when attention to us has already subsided.
Another example is the publication of a book for music teachers called Playful. It turns out that we still sing songs in Russian in schools, or teach Russian songs. We simply didn't have a work that would systematize our folklore. But this was done by Maria Pylypchak, a researcher with a huge scientific experience, who came to us with this idea.
It has found a tremendous response among teachers: they are signing up to read this book in the library. Therefore, the value of the product is a very important criterion for us," says Volochai.
When supporting cultural projects, the foundation is guided by several other criteria: patriotism, uniting Ukrainians, preserving cultural heritage and restoring the forgotten, and community development.
"As for community development, it is important for our Foundation, whose activities are aimed at making small communities want to live in. Cultural products also contribute to this.
A good local museum attracts tourists, tourists give money to the local budget, and the museum orders services from local entrepreneurs. That is, one museum triggers many economic processes. Despite the fact that this is not a business project at all, but rather a cultural one," Volochai said.
"Creative Ukraine is the largest platform in Eastern Europe for discussing cultural and creative industries policy. The event brought together politicians, creative entrepreneurs, government officials, and international experts in the field of culture and economics.
This year's guests and speakers include First Lady Olena Zelenska, Acting Minister of Culture Rostyslav Karandeyev, and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
