Provisions on demobilization and rotation of servicemen in connection with the expected Russian offensive in May are planned to be excluded from the government bill on mobilization, as demanded by the military leadership and the Cabinet of Ministers.

Provisions on demobilization and rotation of servicemen are planned to be excluded from the government draft law on mobilization. The UNN journalist was informed about this by his own sources.

The interlocutor of the UNN reported that the provision on the demobilization of military personnel is planned to be removed. The exclusion was initiated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"We have a Russian offensive planned for May. The military, the Defense Ministry, and the Cabinet of Ministers have asked to remove this provision from the bill," the source said.

The Cabinet of Ministers should submit a separate bill to the Verkhovna Rada with provisions on demobilization.

When asked whether demobilization was excluded from the draft law on mobilization and will be considered separately, Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the VRU Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, answered: "The CMU made a decision to address this issue to the Verkhovna Rada. This issue should be regulated by a separate law, the draft of which should be developed by the CMU."

MP Goncharenko reportedthat the draft law on mobilization and service is planned to be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada on April 10.

On April 4, MP Mariana Bezuhla claimed that the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence could vote on the draft law on mobilization and service by the end of the week.
