The attack by the Russian Federation from the south was organised by 13 drones, flying through residential areas of Ukrainian settlements in an attempt to reach infrastructure facilities in southern Ukraine. All of the drones were shot down, with debris damaging several private homes but causing no casualties.

Last night, the Russian Armed Forces launched a drone attack from the north of Ukraine, flying drones in the direction of Odesa region and into southern Ukraine through the private sector of cities. The occupiers tried to get close to infrastructure facilities, but all 13 Russian "shaheds" were shot down, and no people were injured. This was reported by Natalia Humeniuk, a spokeswoman for the Southern Defense Forces, during a telethon, UNN reports .

Details

During last night's attack, Russian UAVs were sent along complex routes - according to  a spokeswoman for the Southern Defense Forces, the enemy tried to get close to "some specific infrastructure through residential buildings," but all Russian drones were shot down, although they damaged private buildings.

By directing the drones through the private sector, the enemy insidiously led to the fact that even the falling debris of downed drones damaged several private houses and outbuildings, but fortunately no people were injured

- said Humeniuk

In total, the enemy sent drones in two waves. The first wave was concentrated to the south and southeast, in the direction of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovs'k region, where the enemy sent 9 drones. 2 were destroyed in Dnipropetrovs'k region, 7 - in Zaporizhzhia.

The second wave was more rapid, Humeniuk said, with Russians sending drones across the Black Sea in the direction of Odesa region.

The enemy approached the power sector and tried to damage the energy infrastructure, but the air defense worked well - 4 drones were destroyed. Thus, the night attack was repelled by 100%

- Natalia Gumenyuk confirmed.
