Due to constant Ukrainian air attacks, Russian air defense units are increasingly panicking and shooting down their own planes. The guerrillas found out that the command ordered them to shoot down any threat, despite problems with the system of detecting and recognizing friend-or-foe targets.

Against the backdrop of Ukraine's constant air attacks, Russian air defense units are increasingly shooting down their own aircraft in a panic. This is reported by UNN with reference to the underground movement "ATESH".

Details

 As the guerrillas found out, tension is growing among the occupiers in Crimea due to constant missile attacks and UAV raids that threaten military facilities.

Top military commanders ordered air defense commanders to shoot down threats despite problems with the "friend or foe" target detection and recognition system

- ATES said.

At the same time, faced with constant missile attacks and UAV raids, air defense commanders are forced to conduct targeting virtually manually. This often results in strikes on their air targets.

Previously, it was the 12th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the 31st Air Defense Division that shot down 2 Russian military aircraft over the past few weeks:

  •  28.03.24 - the "Pantsyr" air defense system of the said unit shot down a Su-27 fighter. The air defense system was located in the area of Inkerman Bay in Sevastopol;
  • 10.04.2024 - on the western coast of Crimea, a Mi-24 helicopter was shot down by another crew of the Pantsyr air defense system. The unit was stationed near the Saki air base.

ATES also emphasized that the calculations responsible for such events continue to serve and are not penalized. The Russian leadership is taking note of the above issues.

Recall

Ukrainian guerrillas discovered Russian air defense systems near occupied Sevastopol and transmitted the coordinates of Russian equipment, finding out that the occupiers were placing missile weapons near civilian homes.
