Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba sees no causal link between the attacks on oil refineries in Russia and the problems in the global energy market and calls for the transfer of the necessary air defense systems to Ukraine to protect its energy infrastructure.
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba does not see a causal link between the attacks on oil refineries in Russia and the problems in the global energy market. Kuleba said this in an interview with Alla Mazur, an excerpt from which was shown in a telethon, according to a correspondent of UNN.
How can we protect our energy system from destruction? Only in one way - with air defense systems. If Ukraine receives Patriot batteries, we will be able to protect our energy infrastructure, and there will probably be fewer reasons for energy infrastructure to be hit in both countries. But I do not see a cause-and-effect relationship in this matter. I mean, when a refinery explodes in Russia, we see problems on the Russian market, but I don't see any problems on the global market
He added that no matter what the price of gasoline is, the life of a Ukrainian is much more expensive. We have to think in our own interests, and our interest is that Ukraine has air defense systems in the required quantity.
"If our partners say that they will give us 7 Patriot batteries tomorrow, but there is a request not to do certain things, then there is a subject for discussion. And if you don't have these batteries, if you don't have an aid package, then there is nothing to talk about. Everyone is surviving as best they can!" - Kuleba said.
