More than 470,000 hectares have been sown in Ukraine so far, with the majority of grain planted in Odesa region as the spring sowing campaign begins amid challenges in the de-occupied and war-affected areas.
More than 470 thousand hectares have already been sown in Ukraine. Most of the crops have been sown in Odesa region. This was announced by Dmytro Solomchuk, MP and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy, during a briefing, UNN reports .
The spring sowing campaign has started. More than 470 thousand hectares have already been sown. Mostly wheat, barley, peas, and oats have been sown. We are continuing to work. Everything depends primarily on weather conditions in different regions. Most of the crops have been sown in Odesa region
In addition, according to him, the biggest challenges are in the areas that have been de-occupied or affected by the war.
Compared to last spring, Kherson region is sowing much more land this year because farmers have cleared quite large areas of land. Also, in Kharkiv region, more land has been cleared of mines, and the crops will increase there
