Details
According to the publication, today the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales uploaded a photo of the couple from their wedding day, filtered in black and white, with a caption: "13 years ago today.
Some users in the comments under the post began to express their concerns, thinking the worst.
"Black and white photo? That scares me!" wrote one user.
Others wrote that they thought it was sad news because the photo was in black and white.
"Fans, of course, were deeply concerned about Middleton's health amid her diagnosis and absence from the public eye, leading to countless #KateGate conspiracy theories, and some worried that something had happened to her when a black-and-white photo appeared on the social network, which is often used in death notices," the publication writes.
Other fans came to the couple's defense, dismissing any "sinister connotations" in the post and calling for an end to the hysteria.
"This is a beautiful picture. Stop trying to fuel stupid conspiracy theories," users wrote.
