Tightening control over the information field: occupants in the TOT call on residents to inform on each other
Kyiv • UNN
In the temporarily occupied territories, the Russian occupiers are tightening their control over the information field and encouraging residents to inform on each other through chatbots, where they offer to report "signs of extremist activity" as a pretext to intimidate Ukrainians and suppress resistance.
In the temporarily occupied territories, the occupiers are tightening control over the information field and encouraging residents to inform on each other. In particular, they have created a chatbot where they offer to write about the detected "signs of extremist activity". This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia RMA Ivan Fedorov, according to UNN.
"Under the pretext of 'fighting extremists', Russians in the occupied territories are tightening control over the information field and urging residents to inform on each other," said Fedorov.
He reminded that a chatbot has been operating in the temporarily occupied territories for more than a year, where the occupiers call for reporting "suspicious" people. However, now the occupiers have created another chatbot, where they offer to write about the detected "signs of extremist activity".
"There are no extremists on the TOT, except for those who have been invented or appointed by the Russians as 'guilty' in falsified cases. The calls for "vigilance" are based on fear of the Resistance Forces and a desire to intimidate Ukrainians," Fedorov adds.
