Ukraine returns 140 more fallen soldiers

140 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine, including 112 from Donetsk, 20 from Luhansk, 5 from Sumy, 2 from Zaporizhzhia and 1 from Kherson.
As a result of repatriation measures, 140 fallen defenders were returned to Ukraine. This was announced on Friday by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, UNN reports .
Details
Reportedly, the following were repatriated:
- 112 bodies of defenders who fought in the Donetsk sector;
- 20 fallen soldiers in the Luhansk sector;
- 5 bodies of defenders from the Sumy direction;
- two fallen soldiers in the Zaporizhzhya sector;
- one of the Kherson direction.
It is noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will transport the repatriated bodies and remains to designated state institutions. Law enforcement officials and forensic experts will identify the victims.
After identification, the bodies of the Ukrainian defenders will be handed over to their families for a decent burial.
