In 2023, the net profit of the state-owned Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDP) amounted to UAH 719 million, and the total amount of dividends for the past year was UAH 215.6 million. This was announced by UDP CEO Dmytro Moskalenko, UNN reports .

Details

It is noted that the company paid another UAH 140.6 million to the budget, fully fulfilling its obligations to the state.

The total amount of dividends for the past year was UAH 215.6 million. More than in all the years of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company's existence combined. In total, since 2022, our team has paid taxes worth more than UAH 1.06 billion,

- Moskalenko said.

According to him, last year's record profit of UDP was not due to high freight rates.

The boom in demand for river transportation continued in 2022. In 2023, rates stabilized at a moderate level. But UDP's revenues continued to grow thanks to a single logistics service that combined freight with transshipment in Ukraine and Constanta,

- said UDP CEO.

Recall

The Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company has built and launched its third large-capacity barge, the SLG, which can carry up to 2,200 tons of cargo on the river.
